Students Abroad Status Regulations

    In order to manage the regular teaching system, continuously improve the teaching quality for students abroad, and realize the teaching goal, Students Abroad Status Regulations is established according to Liaoning Medical University Students Status Regulation and considering the feature of students abroad in our schoo1.
Chapter One. Enrollment and Registration
1. Freshman should follow school's requirement, register in the stated time with the Enrollment Letter. You should ask for leave if you cannot be enrolled in time, the leave is not more than two weeks. You will be treated as waiver if you are overdue the leave time limit or without a leave application.
2. Freshman will be cancelled the enrollment qualification in the following situations ：
1) Having no the enrollment qualification by checking again.
2) Falling short of the condition in the physical examination.
3) Having not paid all kinds of fees with one month since arrival.
3. Students should get registered on the stated time at every semester beginning, otherwise you should ask for leave. Students cannot get registered until all payment is clear.
Chapter Two. Evaluation and Achievement Recordation
4. Students must attend the examinations stated by schooling plan; the achievement is recorded into School Report and put into student status files.
5. The evaluation consists of examination and check. The achievement of examinational course is based on mid-semester and final examination, also including the other referenced achievement, such as usual test, experiment, and exercitation, schoolwork and discussion in class, which should not exceed 20 percent of the total examination performance ； the referenced achievement of experimental course may reach 30 ～ 40 percent of the total achievement.
No final examination for the elective and minor course, the general evaluation is based on the usual test, experiment, exercitation, schoolwork and discussion in class.
The students who have been eligible in the test of experimental part may attend the theory examination of course with experiments. The students who have failed in the test of experimental part should do the supplementary experiment. If students' experimental data or reports have been investigated and verified as copies from others, their performance will be treated as nullity, and the students will be punished according to Liaoning Medical University Foreign Students Discipline Punishment Criterion.
6. According to the difference of the courses, the forms of check may select written examination, oral examination and practice. The score of examinational course adopts 100-point system ； The achievement of minor course may adopt 100-point system or 5-level system. And get the relevant credit hour. In 5-level system ： Excellent is over the mark of 90. Good is between 80-89. Middle is between 70-79. Pass is between60-69. Flunk is under the mark of 60. The achievement of graduation examination and practice records the score using 100-point system. The achievement of elective course is evaluated according to credit hour, every 16 class hour equals one credit hour.
7. The achievement, which has been graded and announced, cannot be modified at will. The procedure to modify the error of the paper is as the following ： The involved teacher should write the reason. The director of the staff office checks and signs. After the Educational Administration Office approves, the achievement can be modified ： At the same time the reason must be found out, and the involved person will be punished according to Teaching Error and Accident Supervisory Regulations.
8. Credit Hour Calculation
The students, who have passed the examination, namely score the credit hour of this subject. Both the achievement and the credit hour are recorded in School Report. If the credit hour is calculated according to the class hour of teaching plan, namely each 16 class hours equal 1 credit hour. The minimum credit hour is 0.5. If the credit hour of teaching process is calculated according to the number of week, each week equals to 1 credit hour.
9. The students who fail the major course examination must re-study, and the achievement of the re-study course will be recorded as actual score. The students who fail the minor course examination may be free to choose makeup or re-study, and the achievement of the makeup will be recorded as passing the makeup if so. If the students fail the makeup, you must study this subject again, and the achievement of re-study course will be recorded as actual score.
The students who fail the graduation thesis, graduation examination or practice must try to do or study it again.
10. Exempt from Studying the Course.
The students, who fail to upgrade or be demoted, may apply for exempting from taking the courses which have been passed before.
11. Usually private affair leave cannot get approval during examination. The students who cannot take the examination due to sickness should ask for the sick leave from the Overseas Students Administrative Office before the examination with the certificate of diagnosis of hygienical department of the school ； the educational administration will put it on records after the approval of the International Education College ； The students may attend the next equal grading examination.
12. The students who are absent from the examination at will, disobey the examination discipline or cheat in the examination, whose achievements are treated as nullity. They will also get relevant punishment according to the Discipline Punishment Criterion . The students who are punished with warning, severe warning, recording a demerit, and being supervised in school may apply for taking the course again or attending makeup before graduation by the approval of the Educational Administration Office.
13. The students will be punished, if they cannot attend the activities stated by teaching plan on schedule without the teacher's approval.
14. In the following situations, the students cannot attend the final examination of the subject (including the practice), and may apply for attending examination only after having made up the necessary class hours ：
1) The total time of being absent from the course exceeds one-third of the class hour number of this course in one semester.
2) The time to be short of the experimental course exceeds 1/3 of the total time of this course or short of 1/2 of the total experimental report pieces.
15. The students fail to go up to the next grade or be demoted if they have failed and no scores in three courses in one semester, or in four courses in the end of two continual semesters.
Chapter Three. Major Change and Transfer
16. School may adjust the student's major according to the student's application and the relationship of subjects between different majors. Students may apply for transfer if they cannot keep on studying in the schoo1.
Chapter Four. Suspend the Schooling and Resume the Interrupted Studies
17. The maximum number of year that students may study in school may extend two years after the stated length of schooling. The students who apply for suspending their schooling or have been absent from class for one third of a semester will be approvable to suspend their schooling, and the suspending limit is one year.
18. The students who suspend their schooling should transact the relative procedure to leave school, and the school will keep their personal file.
19. The students who suspend their schooling should apply for resuming the interrupted studies to school within one week after the new semester starts, and then they may resume their interrupted studies after the schoo1 checks out.The students who suspend their schooling because of wound or sickness should submit the diagnosis of healing from the hospital appointed by the school when they apply for resuming the interrupted studies, and then they may resume their interrupted studies after the schoo1 checks out.
Chapter Five. Leave School
20. The students in the following situations should leave school ：
1) Have failed and no scores in six courses in the end of two continual semesters or the total up to eight courses, whatever the reason is.
2) Cannot finish school in the stated maximum length of schooling (includes the time to suspend the schooling).
3) No application to resume the interrupted studies to school when the suspending finishes and before one week of the school beginning, or their application cannot get through the school's check.
4) Be unable to keep on studying in school due to suffering from sickness or accidental cripple diagnosed by the hospital appointed by the schoo1.
5) Make bold to leave school and have been absent teaching activities stated by school for two weeks continuously.
6) No registration out of the schedule stated by school without valid reason.
7) Be willing to apply for leaving Schoo1.
21. The International Education College should submit the report to the principal conference, and then the principal conference makes the decision about the case that student leaves schoo1.
The school delivers The Decision about Leaving School to the student, at the same time put it on records in the Education Department of Liaoning Province.
22. The students who leave school should transact the relative procedure to leave school within two weeks.
23. The students who have demurral about the decision may lodge their complaint according to the following steps ； The school and the relative department should deal with the case within the stated limit time.
1) The students may submit their written appeal to the Overseas Students Administrative Office during 5 working days since the day when they receive The Decision about Leaving Schoo1.
2) The Overseas Students Administrative Office checkups the appeal and informs the conclusion to the students during 15 working days since the day when they receive the written appeal. The Overseas Students Administrative Office will submit the appeal to the school to remake if the former decision needs to be modified.
3) The students who have demurral to the conclusion of the Overseas Students Administrative Office may lodge their written appeal to the Education Department of Liaoning Province during 1 5 working days since the day when they receive the conclusion.
4) The school will not accept and hear the case if the student doesn't lodge the complaint during the scheduled appeal time since the delivery for The Decision about Leaving School and the conclusion of the Overseas Students Administrative Office . The school will promulgate the bulletin if the decision cannot be delivered to the student successfully; the delivery is treated as finish on the 60th day from the date of promulgation.
Chapter Six. Graduation, Completing a Course and Studying in School
24. The school grants graduation to the students who have finished the schooling stated by the teaching plan and achieved the graduation requirements during the length of schooling.
25. The school issues the certificate that qualifies completing courses to the students who have finished the schooling stated by the teaching plan but fail to achieve the graduation requirements during the length of schooling, the students may makeup or resume their study according to the regulations stated by the schoo1. The school will issue the graduation diploma to them when they achieve the graduation requirements, the date of graduation should be filled in the diploma the same as the date of issue.
26. The school issues degree diploma to the students who have achieved the degree requirements.
27. The school issues the certificate that qualifies the study in school to the students who leave school after they have studied for one year and more.
28. The school may offer testimonial by your application if any kinds of certificate has been lost or damaged, the testimonial is provided the coequal effectiveness with the original certificate.
29. The school carries out strictly High Education Certificate Electron Registration Regulations, and registers all the certificates in the Education Department of Liaoning Province annually.
30. Above regulations have been executed since September 1st, 2006. The former one has been abolished at the same time.
31. International Education College of Liaoning Medical University holds the right to explain all the above regulations.
